Mike Stockman

Director of Programs, Circular Innovation

As the Director of Programs, Reshaping Markets and Redesigning Packaging, Mike oversees Delterra programs that aim to make material value chains more efficient, transparent and ethical, and help organizations produce more circular packaging through better data and design.

Mike has over 15 years of experience designing, implementing and managing recycling, public health, and WASH initiatives. Mike spent three years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Togo, West Africa working with local communities to improve their health outcomes, with a focus on prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS. Mike spent 12 years in East Africa, working across the health and waste management sectors, including working for the University of Washington’s International Training and Education Center for Health, Results for Development and as the Chief Strategy Officer for Mr. Green Africa.

Mike holds a Master's degree in Public Health with a concentration in global health from New York University, and a Bachelor of Science from Indiana University. Mike is a native English speaker and proficient in Swahili and French.

Mike, his wife Melissa, and two kids live in Portugal. In his spare time, Mike enjoys trail running, rock climbing, playing football (the global kind), and being outdoors.
